Welcome to the British Embassy in Beijing. We are one of Britain's largest overseas embassies. Our overall objective is to promote the interests of the United Kingdom and contribute to a strong world community. Our office has a variety of functions in addition to providing effective consular protection to British nationals.

The British Consulates-General in Guangzhou and Shanghai will not be able to access email or provide any web-based services from 5 - 10 February. The Consulates' telephone system will not be affected.
