Disputes can be quite frequent within China, especially between the following:
Landlord/lady and tenant
Teachers
Business disputes.
The Embassy and Consulates can do very little in these situations, and would advise that a lawyer be appointed to solve the dispute. Contact your nearest Consulate or Embassy and ask for a list of local lawyers. All the lawyers on our list speak English. It is normal practice that the first consultation is offered free of charge, however this can change depending on the company.
In this section, according as the Jurisdiction of British Embassy and Consulate Generals, all the lawyers are classified into four groups, which are Beijing, Shanghai, Guangzhou and Chongqing.
